Tina El Khoury
Senior Business Consultant
Tina El Khoury is an accomplished environmental sustainability expert specialising in humanitarian and development initiatives. With over five years of experience, Tina has a proven track record in environmental consultancy, renewable energy, water and wastewater management, and community engagement. Her work integrates environmental assessments, sustainability strategies, and organisational change management to foster climate resilience and support pro-environmental behaviours.
Currently, Tina serves as a Project Coordinator for the UN Environment Programme / OCHA Joint Environment Unit in Geneva, Switzerland. Her responsibilities include facilitating the integration of sustainability measures across humanitarian organizations, managing the Environment in Humanitarian Action Network (EHAN), and coordinating the Nexus Environmental Assessment Tool (NEAT+). She is also involved in capacity building through training programmes on environmental assessment tools and guidelines.
Previously, Tina worked as an Environmental WASH Consultant with the Lebanese Red Cross, where she developed nationwide environmental strategies and piloted innovative technologies to enhance climate resilience. She has also served as an Environmental Consultant at ELARD, leading environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and community-focused frameworks for high-profile projects funded by international organisations such as USAID and the European Investment Bank.
Tina’s academic background includes a Master’s degree in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Edinburgh, supported by a prestigious Chevening Scholarship, and an MBA from the University of Essex. She is multilingual, fluent in Arabic, English, and conversational in French and Spanish, with certifications in ISO 14001, psychological first aid, and water and sanitation engineering.
